Unfortunately although I can find the installation disks/files for v7 & v10, I can't find the version 11 that we're currently using. I was hoping to be able to download the required files from the Extensis website, but can't find them even in the 'discontinued products' pages.
Is it still possible to obtain this software anywhere? I'd find it very difficult to justify the cost of upgrading to the latest version right now, as this is a very seasonal business!

Netpublish QuickSearch Customization?

We did customize the NetPublish site quite a bit to make it work little bit more like a "Google search". There's only one search field available for the user (the QuickSearch) and people can just search keywords without have to use any AND/OR operators (we made the AND operator just default).

It works well 90% of the time, but we have one problem. The QuickSearch searches every single field associated with the file, including the information about when the file was cataloged, a date that interferes with the "shooting date" when people want to search when the image was taken.

Example: An image of a blue Ford Focus which was shot in 2005, but was cataloged 2016, comes up when you search (via QuickSearch in NetPublish) for "Blue Ford Focus 2016".

Done anyway know how we can possibly solve this? Can we somehow limit the fields the Quicksearch searches in? Can we someone erase the catalog date information (would like to stay away from that)?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Security Roles with Netpublish

Suitcase Fusion 7 plugins do not load

I attempted a full reinstall of SF7, full reinstall of the Adobe programs. Nothing will allow these plugins to load. If I head into SF7 to attempt to uncheck and reinstall the plugins, they'll uninstall and the first one will seemingly work, but when selecting a second plugin to install I receive an error that the plugin is unable to be installed and I need to contact an admin.

Not sure what else to try; I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this. Just for full transparency, any of the above steps were attempted in regular and elevated modes.

Error using encrypted passwords to connect to Portfolio 2016

synchronizeFolder complete?

Written permission error

How to use PHP to transfer Catalog images

We need Meta-Tags for all font apps, for faster search and organization

Just as most cataloguing sites and stock image sites let you sift through large amounts of media, meta-tags would allow you to search through and organize your fonts. Without the chore of going through thousands of fonts and putting them into folders. Which has to be continually updated as you add more fonts.
Meta-tags on the other hand, are like putting them into lists, without having to create and organize lists.
Add the tag "Distressed" to a font is similar to crating a list and dropping the font into it, only you would just need to add the word to a field. Any other fonts that have this word added to that field, would show up as well if you type that word into the search bar.
It's a suggested solution to an ongoing problem I have had with every single font organization software I have ever used.

Auto complete in keywords field

Record locked to input when PDF is locked

Error: Suitcase Fusion | Incompatible version of FMCore troubleshooting

Fusion 7 Guide: "Deactivate non-required System Fonts"

There are a couple of cleanup items that you can attend to now if you choose to.
Extra System fonts
OS X and Windows include many System fonts that aren't necessary for your computer to function normally. Many of these fonts are extra fonts for specific languages.
To deactivate these fonts now, check the box labeled Deactivate non-required System Fonts.

...I can't find this "Deactivate non-required System Fonts" box anywhere. Would someone direct me, please?

Maintaining folder structure when moving/copying files to a new catalog

We maintain a current and archive catalog for our images based on origination date. Since we just hit the end of a calendar year, I need to move approximately 10K images into our archive catalog. I'd love to be able to just grab the root folder for that year and have all the sub folders and assets follow, but that's not happening (it used to in Ver 11.2)

And since the structure of the archive catalog has the year folders at the root level of a watched folder, you cannot simply copy sub-folders into the folder. I'm dreading having to take the time to create new folders and then move all these assets folder by folder.

Is there any work-around for this?

Font Unavailable but the font is there

I read about the different version of the same font

"In some cases, a different version of the desired font may be activated or the font may be reported as unavailable."

and maybe this is the problem, (I saw 2 different series of folder for the same font) but I loaded only 4 single fonts.
I don't know how Fusion works, how the fonts are stored, I only know that the fonts are there but in the program I cannot have a preview or activate.

What can I do to solve this problem?

Safari and Mail Fonts Are Missing!

The same font family is not displaying on Safari. However Century Gothic was not one of my system fonts to begin with, so I'm not sure that that had anything to do with it.
I have cleared the font caches and rebooted and rebooted with a safe start, but the problem has reappeared and never was fixed with Mail.

Do you have any insight into this problem and would Suitcase be the issue?

Ability to Copy nested folders using Copy/Move function

Every year we move a folder of assignments from an earlier year into our archive catalog. This year we've got about 195 jobs with 10K of files to move to the archive. I'd hate to have to create new folders and move the contents of each folder separately?

It doesn't help that our watched folder structure in the archive has each year as a separate watched entry, so the system won't allow you to move folders into the root of a watched folder anyway. And to add to the pain, Ver 11.2 allowed you to do this with ease.

Anyone have any ideas?
